Emirates NBD secures a top position as UAE’s leading banking brand
Emirates NBD announced on Sunday that it had been ranked as the top banking brand in the UAE, with a valuation of $4.04 billion in the annual brand valuation league table released by The Banker.
Additionally, the bank secured a place in the top 100 banking brands worldwide and was ranked second in the Middle East and Africa region. Emirates NBD ranked 76th on the Brand Finance Banking 500 list.
According to Shayne Nelson, group CEO of Emirates NBD, the bank’s brand value reflects its strong financial performance and continuous efforts in customer service, product development, corporate social responsibility, marketing, and other initiatives. As the bank gears up for Expo 2020 Dubai, it aims to simplify banking and provide a modern technology-driven experience with a personal touch.
With a record set of results, Emirates NBD witnessed a 20% YoY increase in net profit to Dh10 billion in 2018. Moreover, the bank reached a significant milestone as its total assets exceeded Dh500 billion for the first time.
